A few weeks ago we played Animal Adventure.
It’s an OLD game.
I grew up playing.
But they don’t make it anymore.
Years ago Scott got it for me as a Christmas gift.
It was sweet.
When it arrived we realized it was the German edition.
The entire game is in a language we don’t speak.
We didn’t care.
We kept it anyway.
We used google translate.
We figured it out.
(It helped that we already knew the rules.)
When we played I was in a mood.
I started talking smack about how I was going to win.
I didn’t win.
I lost BAD.
I had so much fun.
We laughed A LOT!
I like winning.
But I’d rather risk losing and play all out.
Then play small.
OR not play at all.
Great metaphor for life.
Play the game.
ALL OUT!
Have fun.
Enjoy the process.
Be okay messing up.
Don’t give up.
I haven’t.
I think I’ll ask for a rematch next week.
I think I’ll win this time. 😂
Okay, probably not.
But I’ve decided I never lose.
I just learn and grow.
It’s magic.
I call it the Never Lose Mentality.
It’s brilliant and feels amazing.
Thank you Connect Method Parenting for teaching me this.
