Most of us err on the side of being critical of ourselves.
We think something’s wrong with us.
We end up over-apologizing.
We feel like we are a burden.
We think we’ve messed things up for good this time.
We believe we are inconveniencing others.
We decide we are a problem to be solved or a work-in-progress.
What if you LET THAT GO??!!
What if instead, you erred on being overly gentle and generous towards yourself?
What if you were committed to being kind to yourself no matter what?
What if you under-explained, under-rationalize, under-apologized…(and just let other people have their thoughts)?
Living this way is an incredible example for your children of what loving yourself looks like.
It will work WAY better than telling them to be kind, loving, forgiving, or generous.
BE the example and they will see it.
